A Stone Lodge student took his baseball interest to a new height on Thursday 11th June 2024 as he joined the Youth Coach for a unique training session at St Crispin Ground.

Stone Lodge Therapeutic School is based in Kettering and is in independent school for children with special educational needs. The school supports the pupils social and emotional development to ensure they access a rich and varied curriculum so that the student can reach their full potential.

The session was tailored specifically to help the student develop their passion and improve their baseball skills. The student went through the fundamental principles of throwing, fielding and batting and was provided with guidance and feedback throughout.

The student who had shown a keen interest in the sport was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the coach, The session not only helped the student improve their skills, but also boosted their confidence and enthusiasm for the sport.

After a little instruction and support the student was soon hitting balls into the outfield, leaving him with a smile on his face and a spring in his step.
