The seedings were based on win percentage and with Northants ending the season in first place in the EEBL with a win % of .792, this puts them in 3rd place seedings behind Cornish Claycutters and Herts Ravens in first and second place.

The Post season format is a knockout championship where the winners (and best losers) from each League in the UK go head to head in a knockout championship.

After Northants finished in first place in the east of England Baseball League, they get an automatic advance through to the quarter finals. They await the outcome of a wildcard game between Guildford Millers and Corydon Pirates to know who they will play in the first game.

Wildcard games are being held this weekend with league rivals Cambridge Royals fighting for a place in the quarter finals against Cardiff Merlins. Northants' first game in the Quarter finals is being held on September 7th at Herts Baseball Club

This is the first time in 8 seasons that Northants have advanced to the post season playoffs
