Just four years after joining the MK Softball League, Northants Praetorians has finished top of the standings, taking six wins in the seven-game campaign.

After a tough few years, the 2020 season has been a real joy to watch as higher levels of competition, which has led to players vying for positions in the line-up, and a desire to win, has helped propel the club to the top of the table.

The team worked hard to take its first victory in the opening game of the season and didn’t look back from then on, with Alex Barretto topping the home run table, with Nick Russell, Nayan Patel, Ian Penney, Gemma Ashton, and Aaron Maine also swatting four-baggers.

The Praetorians will now face off against the Lime Drives for the Cup on Tuesday, March 24th, with the season trophy presentations afterwards. Let’s get behind the team and celebrate this huge achievement by the Northants Praetorians!
