On Thursday 4th July 2024 our Youth Coach and Adult Manager headed to Moulton College to support Northamptonshire Sport deliver the annual school games festival.
Schools from across the County flooded to Moulton in order to try new sports and compete against each other. One of the sports on offer was baseball in the form of the MLB First Pitch programme. Six schools went head to head in the First Pitch All Star tournament where the children got to show off their newly acquired skills.
The first half of the day saw the children participate in a number of skills stations to prepare them for the afternoon's tournament. In addition to the First Pitch activities, Captain Jack and Coach James ran a batting and fielding station to enhance what was on offer.
The First Pitch Festival ended with a knock-out tournament with the children demonstrating their throwing, fielding, batting and of course their base-running.
