Northampton Baseball Club proudly hosted a fantastic National Youth Mix & Match Game this past Saturday, bringing together talented young players from Birmingham, Essex, and Cambridge for a day of skill-sharing, fun, and community spirit.
Held at St Crispin Ground, the event was a brilliant showcase of youth baseball in the UK. With mixed teams across U10, U12, and U14 age groups, players trained together and faced off in friendly matchups filled with plenty of hits, runs, and spectacular catches. Coaches and volunteers were on hand to encourage teamwork, develop confidence, and – most importantly – make sure everyone had a great time.
The beautiful summer weather helped set the tone for a perfect day of baseball, with refreshments and hot dogs fuelling the action both on and off the field.
Adding to the excitement, a raffle was held featuring a range of prizes, including baseball gloves, cards, kit bags, T-shirts, and more. The buzz around the draw brought families, players and supporters together in celebration of the sport we all love.
Thanks to the incredible support from attendees, the club is proud to announce it raised over £550 during the day – funds which will go directly into supporting the growth and development of youth baseball in Northampton.
This event highlighted the growing strength and unity of youth baseball in the UK. Northampton Baseball Club is incredibly proud to have played host and extends a big thank you to all the teams, families, volunteers and supporters who made the day such a success.
The future of British baseball is bright – and it’s already taking shape on the diamonds of Northampton.
