It's been a little over 7-weeks since our new Youth Coach took over following the departure of the previous coach. Coach James has brought a fresh and innovative approach to developing the club's young talent.
Under the new leadership, the club has seen a renewed focus on recruitment, with greater emphasis on reaching out to schools and local communities to attract new players to the sport. This has led to a significant increase int he number of young athletes joining the club, bringing a new energy and enthusiasm to the team.
In addition to recruitment, the new coach has implemented an outreach programme to engage with local schools (using MLB First Pitch) and community groups, providing opportunities for young people to learn more about baseball and get involved with the club's activities. This has helped raise awareness of the sport and build a strong connection with the wider community.
One of the key changes introduced by the new coach is a more structured and formalised training schedule, which will seek to improve player's skills and overall performance. The players now have a clear understanding of what is expected and the access to regular coaching will help support them to reach their full potential.
The new approach has also seen the introduction of a reward and recognition process, designed to celebrate the achievements and motivate them to continue working hard.
Furthermore, the new coach has implemented formal assessments to track the progress of each player and provide feedback on their performance. This has allowed the children and the club to set goals and measure their success, while also holding the coach accountable of the development of the players.
Overall, the new youth coach has brought a new level of professionalism and dedication to the Northampton Baseball Club, and their future looks bright. The club is excited to see the continued growth and success of its youth programme and looks forward to seeing the players thrive under the new coaching regime.
